Climbing in the Zillertal

Experience the Tyrol holiday from a vertical perspective

Mountains have always fascinated mankind. And some are not satisfied with looking at them from a distance or getting close to them on hikes.

The Zillertal offers climbing fans numerous opportunities to indulge in their hobby: Nine via ferratas with fixed steel cables, brackets and ladders lead through steep and spectacular walls. The granite rock is ideal here: it is particularly hard and has good friction properties. Adrenaline enthusiasts will also get their money’s worth in the four climbing gardens, at the outdoor climbing tower and in the climbing and bouldering hall.

Swimming in the Zillertal

Pure refreshment in the Tyrolean mountains

Cooling down is good on hot days. Enjoy the swimming pools in the area. To relax and refresh after a demanding hike or bike tour. Or just like that.

Our tips for your bathing fun in the Zillertal:

  • With the Zillertal Activcard you have daily entry to one of the six outdoor pools.

If it is too cool outside for you, you can use the indoor pools of the Erlebnistherme Fügen.
  • The Zillertal also has swimming lakes to offer: the Schlitters swimming lake with a large children’s play park, the adventure pond in Aschau and the refreshing Durlaßboden reservoir.
